La Promesse du papillon

A tender, musical comedy for four hearts.

Damino is a screenwriter. He is what is known as “neurodivergent.” At 40, he still has his childhood imaginary friend, Dadou. Damino has endowed Dadou with every virtue. He has made him an idealized version of himself.
Shyness often also gives rise to an imaginary friend. This is the case with the play’s second “real” character, Tito, an architect living in the building across the street. Her imaginary friend, Titou, gives her a semblance of a social life, which her shyness denies her. She spends her days painting at an easel, or at her desk, drawing up plans. The musical presence, through a guitarist, offers a counterpoint to the plot. It is the sonic embodiment of Damino’s imaginary world.

With alternating performances by: Roxane Armand, Zoé Corraface, Damien Henno, Alexandre Riedel, Damien Luce, and Orestis Kalampalikis.
Directed by François Rollin
Music by Orestis Kalampalikis

Bobines

Why do things sometimes take so long to become clear? Sharing the stage is one such example for Damien and Renan Luce. As children, music was the dialogue they chose for each other, a dialogue in which the voices of the great names of French song resonated alongside the melodies of American musicals they learned to stammer through. It is their passion for the stage that unites them today. And then there is a curiosity, a desire to be surprised by the presence of the other in their playground, by the thrill one feels when walking the tightrope of emotions rooted within us since childhood, a modesty just waiting to be shattered, by the joy of being together again.

Monsieur Debussy

We know the composer, but do we know the man? Monsieur Debussy is an immersion into the composer’s private life. A monologue built from Debussy’s extensive correspondence and interspersed with piano music. In the style of the musical salons of yesteryear, Claude Debussy welcomes the audience into his home, speaking to them about his music, the war, his illness, and his daughter, all while playing his compositions on the piano. The convivial atmosphere and interactive nature of the performance allow the audience to enter Debussy’s inner world and discover his universe.

Cyrano de Bergerac

Six actors and a musician bring their own brand of madness to the characters, while remaining true to Edmond Rostand’s original text. A burlesque show blending humor, emotion, music, and dance.

With: Stéphanie Lassus-Debat, Mélanie Le Duc, Damien Luce, Damien Henno, Guillaume Charbuy, Thierry Victor, Erwan Orain, Stéphane Malassenet, Maxie Perrin, Alexis Collin, Marta Power-Luce, Delphine Latil, Sarah Massuelles.
